POULTRYINDONESIA, Jakarta<\/strong> \u2014 A work program serves as a guideline for carrying out organizational duties in a focused manner aligned with the organization\u2019s core goals, vision, and mission. For this reason, the Indonesian Farmers Harmony Association (HKTI) Livestock Division held a coordination meeting to formulate its work program at the Ministry of Agriculture office on Tuesday (14\/10\/2025).<\/p>\n

The meeting was led by the Deputy Chairperson (Waketum) for Livestock, Muhammad Cecep Wahyudi, and the Deputy Secretary General (Wasekjen) for Livestock, Agung Suganda. It was also attended by the Head of the Poultry Division, Hary Suhada, along with his team, and the Head of the Ruminant Division, Nuryani Zainuddin.<\/p>\n

The in-depth discussions with the HKTI team at the Ministry of Agriculture marked an important moment in formulating strategic steps to support the development of the livestock subsector and improve farmers\u2019 welfare across Indonesia.<\/p>\n

This coordination is a follow-up to the National Executive Council (DPN) plenary meeting for the 2025\u20132030 period, chaired by HKTI General Chairperson Sudaryono on Friday (03\/10\/2025).<\/p>\n

Agung Suganda stated that HKTI\u2019s work program should align with government programs. \u201cThe expectation is that the work program we are drafting within HKTI can be in line with the Ministry of Agriculture, especially the Directorate General of Livestock and Animal Health (PKH),\u201d he said, emphasizing that the formulation must also reflect the real needs of farmers in the regions.<\/p>\n

During the meeting, Muhammad Cecep Wahyudi proposed that HKTI should organize an \u201cIndonesia Livestock Summit,\u201d noting that such an event could help introduce Indonesia\u2019s vast livestock potential. He also reaffirmed HKTI\u2019s commitment to working synergistically with the government to improve farmers\u2019 welfare. \u201cWe hope HKTI\u2019s programs can be implemented together with the government and bring real benefits to farmers across Indonesia,\u201d Cecep said.<\/p>\n

The coordination resulted in an agreement that the DPN HKTI Livestock Division will carry out more concrete initiatives to strengthen the livestock sector. One of the upcoming programs is the Indonesia Livestock and Supply Chain Investment Summit<\/strong>, planned for May 2026 at Pantai Indah Kapuk.<\/p>\n

In addition, the regular program includes downstream development through establishing SPPG suppliers for livestock products. One example is a poultry carcass processing facility built by the Deputy Chairperson in Cipanas, operated with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). This facility supplies ready-to-cook chicken to nearby SPPG kitchens.<\/p>\n

Another initiative is the development of the Merah Putih<\/em> cooperative as an SPPG supplier by utilizing livestock products from farmers around the cooperative\u2019s location. These farms include layer chicken, broiler chicken, dairy cattle, and beef cattle operations.<\/p>\n

This plan is aligned with upcoming programs from the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KADIN) and the Directorate General of Livestock and Animal Health. It is hoped that HKTI\u2019s livestock work program will help increase productivity, foster independent and competitive farmers, and improve farmers\u2019 welfare. This initiative forms part of the broader effort to advance Indonesia\u2019s livestock subsector and strengthen the foundations of national food security.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
