For Khrisna, the poultry world is an industry that will never fade. Unlike the dreams he held in his youth, life ultimately led him to become a professional in this field.<\/p>\n
In his younger days, Khrisna Putra Ramadhan dreamed of becoming a pilot. The aviation world \u2014 synonymous with precision, strict discipline, and advanced aeronautical technology \u2014 deeply fascinated the Bandung-born man. Unfortunately, his dream had to be buried during his high school years.<\/p>\n
Khrisna\u2019s deteriorating eyesight became the turning point. Before even turning 20, his nearsightedness had reached -10 in the left eye and -9 in the right. This condition disqualified him from meeting the requirements, even for LASIK surgery, due to the high risks involved. His dream of becoming a pilot disappeared instantly.<\/p>\n
\u201cA proverb says, \u2018Even if you dry your laundry under the sun, it won\u2019t dry if the day isn\u2019t hot.\u2019\u201d This line perhaps best described his position at the time \u2014 that if something is simply not meant to be, no amount of effort will make it happen. Instead of sinking into despair, Khrisna quickly shifted direction with a simple question: \u201cWhat field will still be relevant 20 years from now?\u201d<\/em> The answer led him to food-related fields such as agriculture and livestock.<\/p>\n Even with the rapid rise of AI (Artificial Intelligence), which can replace certain professions, he firmly believes this sector will never be fully replaceable by technology \u2014 especially when it comes to labor. This idea guided him to pursue a bachelor\u2019s degree in animal science at Universitas Padjadjaran.<\/p>\n \u201cWhen choosing a major through the early admission route, my friends with strong and stable grades tended to select the highly popular majors. So I assumed that those choosing animal science would be a small minority. And I was right \u2014 thankfully, I was accepted,\u201d he recalled during an online interview with Poultry Indonesia on Friday (17\/10).<\/p>\n Beginning His Journey in the Poultry Profession<\/strong><\/p>\n His professional career began at Sinta Group, his family\u2019s broiler farming business. After nearly six years dedicating himself as a supervisor managing a single flock, Khrisna was eventually promoted to farm manager thanks to the consistent performance he delivered over the years.<\/p>\n \u201cFor the past three years as a supervisor, my IP (Index Performance) remained stable. Perhaps that\u2019s why my manager trusted me, and eventually I was entrusted with managing a farm unit with a population of 90,000 birds,\u201d recalled the soon-to-be father who is currently awaiting the birth of his first child.<\/p>\n As a new manager, Khrisna led nine barn technicians. Challenges came one after another. In the early period, he even faced a deflation of up to 20%. However, after improving barn management, biosecurity, maintenance, and more meticulous data interpretation, he rebounded with an IP reaching 443 \u2014 a remarkable achievement in his career.<\/p>\n From this experience, he learned that every barn has its own unique characteristics. He also realized that whenever an anomaly occurs, early detection must be done immediately before the issue escalates.<\/p>\n Despite a rising career, Khrisna refused to settle into his comfort zone. He felt that opportunities for acceleration in a family business were limited, and he wanted to broaden his perspective. As if the universe responded, that opportunity appeared when Aviagen \u2014 a global poultry genetics company \u2014 opened recruitment.
