POULTRYINDONESIA, Yogyakarta<\/strong> \u2013 The Indonesian Cage-Free Association (ICFA) once again held the Cage-Free Farming Training Batch #3 on 14\u201316 November 2025. This training also marked the final cage-free training session conducted by ICFA in 2025. The event was attended not only by farmers from various regions but also by academics from several universities.<\/p>\n

Similar to the previous batches, ICFA delivered training with materials structured in a gradual and comprehensive manner. However, for this batch, the training was extended to three days to provide participants with a more optimal learning experience.<\/p>\n

The first day focused on strengthening technical aspects of cage-free management, starting from basic principles, housing management, to health and nutrition, and concluded with a visit to a modern cage-free demonstration farm that has implemented an automated system, allowing participants to directly observe how cage-free practices are carried out under current industry standards.<\/p>\n

The training also featured two cage-free industry practitioners as speakers: Roby Gandawijaya from PT Inti Prima Satwa Sejahtera, a pioneer of cage-free farming in Indonesia, and Rahmat Ardiansyah from PT Talun Indonesia Baharu. Both shared their journeys, challenges, and lessons learned in developing cage-free systems.<\/p>\n

After visiting the modern farm on the first day, participants further broadened their perspectives by visiting a small-scale cage-free farm owned by a Women Farmers Group in Sleman, Yogyakarta. This visit highlighted an important message: that the cage-free system can be implemented across various scales of operation\u2014from small community-based farms to large producers\u2014designed according to the needs and capacity of the farmers.<\/p>\n

This training served as the closing program of ICFA\u2019s 2025 training series, marking an important step in strengthening farmers\u2019 capacity and expanding the adoption of cage-free systems in Indonesia. Through this training, ICFA expressed its appreciation to all speakers, partners, and participants who contributed to the success of the program and hopes that the knowledge gained can be applied across various regions in Indonesia.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
