POULTRYINDONESIA, Jakarta<\/strong> \u2014 At the National Leadership Meeting (Rapimnas) of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KADIN) held on December 1, 2025, KADIN Indonesia and the Ministry of Cooperatives officially signed a Cooperation Agreement (PKS) to establish the Protein Task Force (Satgas Protein). The agreement was signed by Cecep Muhammad Wahyudin, Deputy Chair for Livestock of KADIN Indonesia, and Farida Farichan, Deputy Minister of Cooperatives of the Republic of Indonesia.<\/p>\n

The Protein Task Force is positioned as the primary support unit for the Koperasi Desa Merah Putih (KDMP) across Indonesia in developing a protein supply ecosystem, particularly to support the MBG program. Through this PKS, the Protein Task Force is designed as an enabler and field driver that bridges the needs of KDMP with businesses, financial institutions, and other stakeholders. Its objective is to enable the national protein ecosystem to grow in a more structured, sustainable, and locally driven manner that benefits village-level enterprises.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Protein Task Force is not formed merely as a coordination forum, but as a real field companion. From assisting in business model development, facilitating access to financing, to providing support as KDMP runs its operations. We want to ensure that government programs\u2014including participation in preparing the budget initiated and designed by the Ministry of Agriculture to build the poultry industry with financing allocation of up to Rp20 trillion and the creation of a closed-loop ecosystem involving KDMP as part of its business chain\u2014can run effectively. With the presence of this Protein Task Force, cross-ministerial programs are expected to move forward, and the budget can be fully absorbed to strengthen the national protein ecosystem,\u201d said Cecep Muhammad Wahyudin, Deputy Chair for Livestock of KADIN Indonesia.<\/p>\n

He emphasized that the main priority is ensuring the protein supply chain\u2014from the village to the dining table of Indonesian families\u2014runs more efficiently, fairly, and beneficially for all parties. He stressed that the Protein Task Force will work alongside KDMP, not replace it, ensuring that community-owned enterprises remain at the center of the initiative.<\/p>\n

The Protein Task Force is designed with three core functions:<\/p>\n

    Business Assistance<\/strong> \u2013 Supporting KDMP in building and developing business models for cultivation and enterprise in the protein sector (such as poultry, cattle, fish, and derivative products) in accordance with regional potentials.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  2. \n

    Financial Access Facilitation<\/strong> \u2013 Assisting KDMP in accessing financing sources, whether from government programs, state-owned enterprises (BUMN), financial institutions, or other relevant schemes.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  3. \n

    Operational Assistance and Business Strengthening<\/strong> \u2013 Supporting KDMP during business operations, including capacity building, business governance, and market network expansion.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    \"\"In the context of government programs preparing up to Rp20 trillion<\/strong> in financing to strengthen the cultivation ecosystem in the protein sector, the Protein Task Force will serve as a strategic partner for KDMP, which will act as the executor on the ground. The task force will help ensure that business planning, institutional readiness, and the quality of assistance at the cooperative level are aligned with government policy directions and the needs of the national protein industry, including the ecosystem to be supported by the Ministry of Agriculture through Danantara\u2019s financing scheme.<\/p>\n

    \u201cThe government needs strong partners on the ground to ensure that grassroots business ecosystems are truly ready to absorb large-scale financing. Through this collaboration with KADIN, the Protein Task Force is expected to connect KDMP with networks of businesses, technology, and markets so that the Rp20 trillion program is not only absorbed but also generates inclusive economic growth,\u201d said Farida Farichan, Deputy Minister of Cooperatives of the Republic of Indonesia.<\/p>\n

    The Protein Task Force will also actively involve:<\/p>\n

    \u25cf KADIN regional boards and members as mentoring partners and market access facilitators
    \u25cf KADIN-affiliated businesses as offtakers, investors, or technology partners
    \u25cf KDMP as the primary implementers of cultivation and protein product processing at the grassroots level<\/p>\n

    With KADIN Indonesia\u2019s network spanning all provinces and districts\/cities, the Protein Task Force is expected to reach more KDMP units, accelerate the formation of protein business clusters, and strengthen the supply chain from upstream to downstream.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
