POULTRYINDONESIA, Jakarta<\/b> \u2013 Leading up to Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr, the government plans to continue intensive monitoring alongside local governments and industry players. This initiative aims to maintain smooth distribution, price stability, and the affordability of animal protein for the public.<\/h6>\n
The Directorate General of Livestock and Animal Health Services (Ditjen PKH) conducted a surprise inspection at Pasar Kender SS<\/b> in East Jakarta on Friday morning (Feb 13). Among the 27 poultry traders inspected at the market\u2014which operates from 2:00 AM to 10:00 AM WIB\u2014chicken meat prices were observed to be below the Reference Purchase Price (HAP)<\/b> of Rp 40,000 per kilogram.<\/h6>\n
Field Observations from Traders<\/b><\/h6>\n
One trader, Mini<\/b>, shared that she sells chicken carcasses for Rp 50,000 per bird. With an average weight of 1.3 kg, this equates to approximately Rp 38,000 per kg<\/b>. She currently sells about 40 birds per day.<\/h6>\n

“I hope chicken prices remain stable, so it stays profitable for everyone,” Mini remarked.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, at other stalls, traders Siti<\/b> and Tri<\/b> set their selling prices between Rp 35,000 and Rp 36,000 per kg<\/b>, with an average sales volume of 150 to 200 birds per day.<\/h6>\n
Government Findings<\/b><\/h6>\n
The Director General of PKH, Agung Suganda<\/b>, stated that the results of the inspection indicate relatively stable price conditions and available supplies.<\/h6>\n
“On Friday morning, our team directly observed transactions in the market. The resulting prices are still below the HAP, and the supply from Poultry Slaughterhouses (RPHU) is running smoothly,” Agung stated via a Ministry of Agriculture press release.<\/h6>\n
This agenda is a follow-up to the directives of the Minister of Agriculture, Andi Amran Sulaiman<\/b>, who seeks to ensure that the public can obtain products that are Safe, Healthy, Whole, and Halal (ASUH) at affordable prices. Additionally, the initiative ensures that traders continue to receive a fair profit margin.<\/h6>\n
