POULTRYINDONESIA, Jakarta<\/b> \u2013 The Central Indonesian Journalists Association (PWI) and PT CPI held a joint Iftar<\/i> (breaking of the fast) followed by a charity event for orphans on Monday (23\/2\/2026) at the Press Council Hall, Jakarta.<\/h6>\n
This event is a routine annual agenda for PWI every Ramadan, serving as a momentum to strengthen the relationship between members of the press and the business world.<\/h6>\n
In his remarks, the Chairperson of Central PWI, Akhmad Munir<\/b>, stated that the month of Ramadan is the perfect time to strengthen togetherness and social awareness.<\/h6>\n
“Usually, every Ramadan, Muslims hold joint Iftar<\/i> and Tadarus<\/i> (Quranic recitations). Today, PWI and CPI have gathered to break our fast while sharing with our younger brothers and sisters who are orphans. This is the right month for giving,” he said.<\/h6>\n
He emphasized that the joint Iftar<\/i> has become an annual PWI tradition. According to him, this tradition is not merely a ceremony but a means to build collaborations that bring about collective good.<\/h6>\n

A Partnership with the Poultry Industry<\/b><\/h6>\n
Meanwhile, the Commissioner of PT CPI, Suparman<\/b>, representing the management, expressed his appreciation for the invitation extended to his company.<\/h6>\n
“Alhamdulillah, CPI was invited to attend. Thank you to the Central Indonesian Journalists Association for still welcoming us into this gathering,” he said.<\/h6>\n
He explained that CPI is a poultry company established physically in 1969 and officially incorporated in 1972. The company operates from upstream to downstream, ranging from day-old chick (DOC) production and feed to product processing.<\/h6>\n
“We operate from DOC production and chicken feed to processing. From a single chicken, hundreds of products can be made. Formally, it is the community that produces the chickens, and we help market them,” Suparman explained.<\/h6>\n

Spiritual Reflection and Charity<\/b><\/h6>\n
During the event, donations were also handed over to the orphans in attendance. The program continued with a Tausiyah<\/i> (religious lecture) reminding everyone of the importance of sharing with others, especially orphans and the underprivileged (dhuafa<\/i>).<\/h6>\n
In the sermon, the preacher emphasized that the Al-Quran explicitly pays attention to the eight categories of zakat recipients (asnaf<\/i>), including the poor, the needy, and orphans.<\/h6>\n
“Allah rebukes those who do not care for the poor and the orphans. Let us not become ‘deniers of faith’ simply because we ignore our neighbors and those around us,” he warned.<\/h6>\n
He also reminded the audience that the spirit of giving should not only appear during Eid al-Fitr.<\/h6>\n
“The momentum for sharing should not only be during Ramadan. Life without charity is like eating a chicken along with its feathers\u2014it\u2019s not enjoyable. Charity cleanses and perfects our lives,” he remarked.<\/h6>\n
This joint Iftar<\/i> activity is expected to not only tighten the bond between the press and business actors but also to foster a collective awareness of the importance of sharing and contributing to society.<\/h6>\n
