POULTRYINDONESIA, Jakarta<\/b> – Efforts to strengthen export markets continue to be pursued by the national poultry industry. PT Charoen Pokphand Indonesia Tbk (CPI), through one of its subsidiaries, PT Gizindo Sejahtera Jaya, has once again dispatched an export shipment of table eggs to Singapore. The activity was held simultaneously at the Ministry of Agriculture office on Tuesday (3\/3) as part of a national poultry product export push.<\/h6>\n
On this occasion, Minister of Agriculture (Mentan) Andi Amran Sulaiman flagged off the export of 545 tons of poultry products valued at Rp18.2 billion to three destination countries: Japan, Singapore, and Timor Leste. Shipments will be carried out in stages from early March until March 31, 2026.<\/h6>\n
The Minister emphasized that this export is part of a market expansion strategy previously pioneered. Currently, Indonesian poultry products have penetrated 10 destination countries and continue to grow.<\/h6>\n
\u201cToday, we are releasing exports of poultry products and their derivatives to three countries: Singapore, Japan, and Timor Leste. Our poultry industry is self-sufficient and has a very strong production capacity. We are optimistic that the national poultry export market will continue to expand. In fact, our egg products can be exported daily to Singapore. This is a great achievement and is worth reporting,\u201d he said.<\/h6>\n
Meanwhile, CPI representative Jusmeinidar Jusran explained that this table egg export to Singapore marks the 60th shipment since the export program began in May 2023. For 2026, CPI targets the shipment of one container every day, with the exception of New Year and Idul Fitri holidays.<\/h6>\n
\u201cEach 40-foot container carries approximately 325,080 eggs, equivalent to 20.6 tons of net weight (excluding packaging), with a value of around Rp612 million per container, depending on the Rupiah exchange rate,\u201d she explained.<\/h6>\n

She continued, noting that at the start of exports in 2023, the shipment value was relatively small, totaling around 1.47 million USD. However, as market demand increased\u2014particularly from Singapore\u2014the export value has continued to grow.<\/h6>\n
\u201cIn 2026, we are targeting the value of egg exports to Singapore to reach 11 million USD,\u201d she explained.<\/h6>\n
In addition to Singapore, CPI\u2019s table egg products have successfully penetrated the United Arab Emirates (UAE) market. In fact, CPI is the only Indonesian company capable of supplying table eggs to that market, with a total of seven shipments made so far.<\/h6>\n
\u201cHowever, for the time being, exports to the UAE have been suspended. This is due to high demand from Singapore and logistical challenges toward the Middle East region, which require a relatively long shipping time,\u201d she said.<\/h6>\n
In reality, market interest from Dubai for Indonesian table eggs is quite significant. Given that eggs are perishable, distribution time is a primary concern. Nevertheless, the eggs exported by CPI undergo special handling and management processes, giving them a shelf life of over 90 days (about three months)\u2014significantly longer than conventional eggs, which typically only last about one week under normal conditions.<\/h6>\n
\u201cHopefully, we can resume shipments to the UAE this year. But for now, we are prioritizing the Singapore market because they are regular customers with routine daily shipments,\u201d she concluded.<\/h6>\n
