POULTRYINDONESIA, Jakarta<\/b> \u2014 Following the successful export of 545 tons of poultry products and their derivatives to Singapore,<\/span> Japan,<\/span> and Timor-Leste,<\/span> national poultry business players acknowledge that these smooth operations are inseparable from the acceleration of veterinary certification services,<\/span> which can now be completed in a single day.<\/span><\/h6>\n
Jusi Jusran,<\/span> Director of Charoen Pokphand Jaya Farm,<\/span> expressed his appreciation to the Ministry of Agriculture,<\/span> particularly the Directorate General of Livestock and Animal Health Services (Ditjen PKH),<\/span> for accommodating these export facilities.<\/span> He noted that these conveniences are not merely policies on paper but have been directly experienced in the field.<\/span><\/h6>\n
“We would like to extend our deepest gratitude to the Ministry of Agriculture,<\/span> especially Ditjen PKH.<\/span> Exporting requires many technical requirements,<\/span> and without technical support from the government,<\/span> it would be impossible for us to export.<\/span> Furthermore,<\/span> Ditjen PKH is now able to issue veterinary certificates within a one-day process,<\/span> and we have proven this as we have begun exporting daily,<\/span>” he stated after the export flag-off ceremony at the Ministry of Agriculture office on Tuesday (3\/3).<\/span><\/h6>\n
He explained that PT Charoen Pokphand Indonesia Tbk,<\/span> through PT Gizindo Sejahtera,<\/span> dispatched two 40-foot containers on Tuesday (3\/3\/2026) containing a total of approximately 650,<\/span>000 eggs\u2014equivalent to about 41 tons\u2014to Singapore.<\/span> While egg exports have been ongoing since mid-2023,<\/span> this marks the first time they can be carried out daily as of March 2026.<\/span><\/h6>\n
According to him,<\/span> a daily export scheme involves a higher level of complexity compared to monthly shipments.<\/span> “Exporting once a month isn’t actually that difficult,<\/span> but when it’s every day,<\/span> the entire licensing process must be handled daily.<\/span> That is where the Ministry’s support is absolutely decisive,<\/span>” he explained.<\/span><\/h6>\n
A similar sentiment was shared by the Director of PT Japfa Comfeed Indonesia Tbk,<\/span> Rachmat Indrajaya,<\/span> who shipped 6 tons of ready-to-eat chicken fillets to Singapore valued at approximately Rp1 billion.<\/span> He assessed that the Ministry of Agriculture provides excellent support,<\/span> specifically because the export licensing process can now be finalized in just one day,<\/span> making it easier for companies to conduct overseas shipments.<\/span><\/h6>\n
Rachmat also expressed his support for the Minister of Agriculture’s plan to encourage the development of export-oriented processed products.<\/span> “As the Minister mentioned,<\/span> Indonesia must become a food granary\u2014not just domestically,<\/span> but globally,<\/span>” he said.<\/span><\/h6>\n
In terms of processed products,<\/span> Joni Mudika,<\/span> General Manager of Operations at PT Malindo Food Delight,<\/span> mentioned that his company has exported sausages,<\/span> nuggets,<\/span> and karage to Japan,<\/span> as well as reaching Singapore and Middle Eastern countries such as the United Arab Emirates,<\/span> Oman,<\/span> and Qatar.<\/span> Moving forward,<\/span> Malindo aims to expand its market to other Asian countries,<\/span> including Saudi Arabia.<\/span><\/h6>\n
“The Ministry of Agriculture has been very helpful and facilitating,<\/span> ensuring all our exports run smoothly.<\/span> They provide assistance starting from inspections and audits to ensuring products comply with the destination country’s regulations,<\/span>” he said.<\/span><\/h6>\n
Tjandra Srimulianingsih,<\/span> Director of PT Taat Indah Bersinar (TIB),<\/span> also noted that export services are currently much faster than before.<\/span> “The service is very smooth and the government is supportive.<\/span> The process is now faster,<\/span>” she said.<\/span><\/h6>\n
Agung Suganda,<\/span> Director General of Livestock and Animal Health Services,<\/span> emphasized that every product shipped has passed veterinary certification and strict supervision in accordance with international standards.<\/span> Aspects of traceability,<\/span> biosecurity,<\/span> and food safety are ensured to be met so that exports remain sustainable.<\/span><\/h6>\n
On the same occasion,<\/span> Minister of Agriculture Andi Amran Sulaiman stressed the government’s readiness to support companies,<\/span> particularly regarding export legality.<\/span> He also encouraged exports in the form of processed products,<\/span> as they are deemed capable of increasing added value,<\/span> foreign exchange,<\/span> and labor absorption.<\/span><\/h6>\n
“If we export live chickens,<\/span> let\u2019s say the price is Rp30,<\/span>000 per kilogram.<\/span> If it’s a finished product,<\/span> the price can be double.<\/span> God willing,<\/span> the government will support whatever legality companies require regarding exports,<\/span>” he concluded.<\/span><\/h6>\n
