POULTRYINDONESIA, Jakarta<\/strong> \u2013 The Directorate General of Livestock and Animal Health (Ditjen PKH) under the Ministry of Agriculture held an online Coordination Meeting for the 2026 Layer Chicken Development Program on Monday (March 30, 2026). The activity is a key step in strengthening program governance and ensuring its implementation is effective, efficient, and well-targeted.<\/h6>\n
The meeting was led by the Director of Breeding and Livestock Production, Hary Suhada, and attended by representatives from the Ministry of Agriculture\u2019s Inspectorate General, along with 23 Centers for Agricultural Assembly and Modernization (BRMP) from various provinces, including Technical Implementation Units (UPT) under Ditjen PKH.<\/h6>\n
In his remarks, Hary Suhada emphasized that the 2026 layer chicken development program is not only focused on achieving physical targets, but also on the quality of implementation and sustainability of its benefits.<\/h6>\n
\u201cThis program must deliver real impact\u2014not only in increasing national egg production, but also in improving farmers\u2019 welfare. Therefore, it requires solid planning, disciplined execution, and continuous supervision,\u201d he stated.<\/h6>\n
The program targets the distribution of 44,400 chickens to 74 beneficiary groups, supported by a budget of Rp14.78 billion through 19 UPT work units. Assistance includes 16-week-old pullets, feed for three months, medicines and vitamins, housing and equipment, as well as operational support.<\/h6>\n
A representative from the Ministry\u2019s Inspectorate General, Dyah Wodoretno, highlighted the importance of using previous audit findings as a basis for risk mitigation in the 2026 program.<\/h6>\n
\u201cRecommendations from past supervision must be taken seriously and followed up collectively. This is crucial to prevent recurring issues and to improve the overall quality of program implementation,\u201d she said.<\/h6>\n
She also stressed that strengthening accountability, regulatory compliance, and accurate targeting of beneficiaries are key priorities in overseeing the program.<\/h6>\n
Meanwhile, Head of BRMP Bangka Belitung, Intan Rahayu, expressed regional readiness to implement the program optimally.<\/h6>\n
\u201cWe are committed to ensuring that all stages of the program are carried out according to guidelines, while providing intensive assistance to beneficiary groups. This way, the support will not only be well distributed but also deliver long-term benefits,\u201d she explained.<\/h6>\n
Through strong synergy between central and regional governments, along with reinforced supervision and evaluation, the program is expected to boost national egg production, strengthen food security, and improve the welfare of farmers across Indonesia.<\/h6>\n
