POULTRYINDONESIA, Sumedang \u2013 In collaboration with PT Charoen Pokphand Indonesia Tbk (CPI), the Faculty of Animal Husbandry at Universitas Padjadjaran (Fapet Unpad) held a public lecture themed \u201cPoultry Outlook 2026\u201d in a hybrid format in Sumedang on Wednesday (April 8). As part of the event series, a scholarship handover ceremony from CPI to Fapet Unpad students was also conducted.<\/h6>\n
In his remarks, Prof. Rahmat Hidayat, Dean of the Faculty of Animal Husbandry at Universitas Padjadjaran (Unpad), emphasized that the poultry industry is a highly complex sector. According to him, the production of a single egg or one kilogram of chicken meat is influenced by various factors, both domestic and global dynamics.<\/h6>\n
\u201cThe livestock sector can no longer stand alone; it is closely interconnected with various global aspects. Even a single chicken is linked to globalization processes, from production factors\u2014some of which are imported\u2014to government policies and environmental aspects that also play a role,\u201d he stated.<\/h6>\n
He added that all components within the livestock sector are interconnected and cannot be separated. Therefore, a thorough, holistic, and comprehensive understanding of current conditions is essential. \u201cWithout comprehensive knowledge, it will be difficult for us to take the right steps moving forward,\u201d he continued.<\/h6>\n
\"\"On that occasion, Prof. Rahmat also expressed appreciation to the strategic partner, PT Charoen Pokphand Indonesia Tbk (CPI), for providing scholarships and for various collaborative programs supporting the development of education and the national livestock sector.<\/h6>\n
Representing CPI, Andi Magdalena Siadari, S.H., M.H., Secretary General of Charoen Pokphand Foundation Indonesia (CPFI), encouraged students to make the most of this opportunity. She stressed that future challenges will be increasingly demanding, leaving no room for complacency.<\/h6>\n
\u201cDo not be complacent, because the challenges ahead require seriousness, discipline, and strong commitment,\u201d she asserted.<\/h6>\n
She also reminded scholarship recipients to appreciate the process they have gone through. Approximately 20 Fapet Unpad students received the scholarships. \u201cPlease use this as motivation to continuously improve both your academic performance and personal development during your studies at Universitas Padjadjaran,\u201d she added.<\/h6>\n
Meanwhile, drh. Bambang Sutrasno, Regional Head for Sumatra and the main speaker in the lecture, stated that the national poultry industry is currently facing complex dynamics. On one hand, the sector holds significant growth potential in line with increasing demand for animal protein; on the other hand, various structural challenges remain.<\/h6>\n
\u201cThe 2026\u20132027 period is expected to be a crucial phase for the national poultry industry. If global conditions improve and domestic policies become more adaptive with targeted implementation, the poultry sector still has the opportunity to recover and grow,\u201d he explained.<\/h6>\n
However, he also warned that if these challenges are not addressed promptly, pressure on the industry could intensify. \u201cConversely, if the challenges remain unresolved, the industry may face even greater shocks,\u201d he concluded.<\/h6>\n
