On one hand, production cost pressures continue to rise, primarily due to the high price of feed raw materials. On the other hand, demands for production practices that are more efficient, sustainable, and safe for human health are growing stronger. In this context, the approach to poultry nutrition can no longer rely solely on conventional patterns.<\/h6>\n<h6 data-path-to-node=\"1\">This was a key focus of discussion at the <b data-path-to-node=\"1\" data-index-in-node=\"42\">Masterclass<\/b> forum organized by <b data-path-to-node=\"1\" data-index-in-node=\"73\">Huvepharma<\/b> in South Tangerang on Tuesday (5\/5), which presented various perspectives on the new direction of modern poultry nutrition.<\/h6>\n<hr data-path-to-node=\"2\" \/>\n<h6 data-path-to-node=\"3\">Moving Beyond Conventional Formulation<\/h6>\n<h6 data-path-to-node=\"4\"><b data-path-to-node=\"4\" data-index-in-node=\"0\">Rik Pieterse<\/b> from <b data-path-to-node=\"4\" data-index-in-node=\"18\">Dutch Feed Consultancy<\/b> emphasized that conventional formulations\u2014which focus only on meeting minimum nutrient requirements\u2014are no longer sufficient to meet today&#8217;s industrial challenges.<\/h6>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"5,0\">&#8220;It is time we consider nutrient interactions, metabolic efficiency, and the economic impact of every feed formulation. Modern feed formulation must be able to optimize poultry performance without sacrificing production cost efficiency.&#8221;<\/p>\n<h6 data-path-to-node=\"6\">The Role of Enzymes in Cost Efficiency<\/h6>\n<h6 data-path-to-node=\"7\"><b data-path-to-node=\"7\" data-index-in-node=\"0\">Lode Nollet<\/b>, Global Product Manager for Poultry Enzymes at Huvepharma, highlighted in his presentation that most phosphorus in corn and soybean meal exists in a form that poultry cannot directly digest. Without the aid of enzymes, this phosphorus is wasted and contributes nothing to the bird&#8217;s nutrition.<\/h6>\n<h6 data-path-to-node=\"8\">&#8220;The utilization of <b data-path-to-node=\"8\" data-index-in-node=\"20\">phytase enzymes<\/b> in feed formulation will increase nutritional efficiency while simultaneously reducing production costs. Amidst high raw material prices, especially inorganic phosphorus sources like DCP and MCP, the use of phytase enzymes is essential,&#8221; he explained.<\/h6>\n<hr data-path-to-node=\"9\" \/>\n<h6 data-path-to-node=\"10\">Addressing Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR)<\/h6>\n<h6 data-path-to-node=\"11\">During the same event, <b data-path-to-node=\"11\" data-index-in-node=\"23\">Veerle Hautekiet<\/b>, Global Marketing Director at Huvepharma, noted that in 2020, there were approximately <b data-path-to-node=\"11\" data-index-in-node=\"127\">1.3 million human deaths<\/b> related to AMR, a figure projected to rise to <b data-path-to-node=\"11\" data-index-in-node=\"198\">10 million by 2050<\/b>.
