Bas officially joined the company on April 1, 2026, replacing Henry Hendrix, who has now taken on a new role as Area Director Middle East and Africa for Hendrix Genetics Layers.<\/h6>\n<h6 data-start=\"453\" data-end=\"711\">This appointment marks a strategic move by Hendrix Genetics to strengthen customer relationships and expand the development of its layer business in Asia, particularly in Indonesia and the Philippines, which are key markets for the regional poultry industry.<\/h6>\n<h6 data-start=\"713\" data-end=\"1023\">Bas Kanters brings more than 20 years of experience in the Asian poultry industry, supported by a strong international management background. Having lived and worked in Indonesia for many years, he has a deep understanding of the market characteristics, customer needs, and business dynamics across the region.<\/h6>\n<h6 data-start=\"1025\" data-end=\"1309\">A graduate of Wageningen University &amp; Research, Bas began his career in production management before advancing into various strategic positions within international companies. He previously held important roles at Intervet and Hybro BV, a globally recognized broiler breeding company.<\/h6>\n<h6 data-start=\"1311\" data-end=\"1705\">Bas later continued his career as Asia Pacific Area Manager at VDL Agrotech, where he expanded his regional and commercial expertise across various Asia-Pacific countries. Over the past 15 years, Bas has also served as Regional Sales Director Asia at Royal Pas Reform, with responsibilities focused on developing customer relationships and strengthening hatchery solutions business across Asia.<\/h6>\n<h6 data-start=\"1707\" data-end=\"2114\">With experience spanning breeding, equipment, and commercial operations, Bas is considered to have a broad and balanced perspective to support the development of Hendrix Genetics\u2019 Layers business.
