POULTRYINDONESIA, Tangerang<\/b> \u2014 Efforts to mold the 2045 Golden Generation rely not only on the quality of education but are also heavily determined by public nutritional status from an early age. Consequently, the Ministry of Agriculture (MoA) continues to drive increased animal protein consumption through the Susu, Daging, Telur, dan Ikan<\/i> (SDTI\u2014Milk, Meat, Eggs, and Fish) campaign. This year, the campaign carried the theme “Balanced Nutrition for a Glorious Generation” as part of the Indo Livestock Expo & Forum 2026 lineup at NICE PIK 2, Tangerang, on Tuesday (16\/6\/2026).<\/h6>\n
The event was attended by around 100 members of the Family Welfare Movement (PKK) driving team from various regencies and cities across Banten Province. The presence of these PKK cadres is expected to help widespread education regarding the importance of fulfilling family nutrition down to the household level.<\/h6>\n
In addition, a number of students from SDN Kampung Melayu 1 also attended and participated. Through an interactive approach, the children were engaged to understand the benefits of animal protein for their growth, health, and learning abilities.<\/h6>\n
The Director General of Livestock and Animal Health Services at the Ministry of Agriculture, Agung Suganda, stated that the children currently sitting in school benches will eventually become the main actors in Indonesia’s development in 2045. Therefore, investing in adequate nutritional quality must begin as early as possible.<\/h6>\n
\"\"“The formation of superior human resources cannot be separated from the habit of consuming nutritious food instilled from an early age. Both family and school environments hold critical roles in building healthy eating patterns that will impact the quality of future generations,” he explained.<\/h6>\n
He emphasized that animal protein is a vital component in supporting children’s future growth. An adequate intake of animal protein provides children with the opportunity to grow optimally.<\/h6>\n
“When children receive sufficient animal protein intake, they have the chance to grow more optimally, learn better, and become a productive generation. Therefore, the daily consumption of milk, meat, eggs, and fish should not be viewed merely as fulfilling dietary needs, but as an investment for the future,” Agung said.<\/h6>\n
Agung added that various government programs, such as the Free Nutritious Meal (Makan Bergizi Gratis<\/i> \/ MBG) program, national milk production development, and increased meat production, are expected to expand public access to nutritious food while boosting animal protein consumption.<\/h6>\n
“We want to build a better culture of animal protein consumption. When Indonesian children are accustomed to consuming milk, meat, eggs, and fish in a balanced manner, we are actively improving the quality of future Indonesian human resources,” he stated.<\/h6>\n
Echoing this sentiment, nutritionist Rita Ramayulis conveyed that the demographic bonus projected to peak in 2045 will only become an advantage if supported by good public nutritional quality starting now.<\/h6>\n
According to Rita, animal protein holds a distinct advantage because it contains a complete profile of essential amino acids along with various crucial nutrients such as iron, zinc, vitamin A, vitamin B12, calcium, and omega-3 fatty acids. These various nutrients play a vital role in supporting growth, brain development, immune systems, and children’s learning capacities.<\/h6>\n
“The 2045 Golden Generation is formed not only through good education but also through fulfilling nutrition. Certain contents, such as zinc and B12, can only be obtained from food sources of animal protein,” she noted.<\/h6>\n
In addition to presentation materials, SDTI 2026 was packed with interactive segments to instill nutritional understanding from an early age. One of the event highlights that captured attention was a storytelling session delivering messages on the importance of consuming milk, meat, eggs, and fish for children’s health and growth.<\/h6>\n
The atmosphere grew even livelier as participants joined a communal dining activity featuring a menu rich in animal protein sources, including milk, meat, eggs, and fish. This activity served as a symbol for the animal protein consumption campaign while encouraging participants to implement balanced, nutritious dietary patterns in their daily lives.<\/h6>\n
