POULTRYINDONESIA, Tangerang<\/b> \u2013 The Indo Livestock 2026 Expo & Forum officially opened at the Nusantara International Convention Exhibition (NICE), PIK 2, Tangerang, on Wednesday (17\/6). Moving into its brand-new venue, Indonesia’s largest livestock and animal health exhibition is held concurrently with Indo Feed, Indo Dairy, Indo Agrotech, Indo Vet, and Indo Fisheries 2026.<\/h6>\n
Managing Director of PT Napindo Media Ashatama, Aryaseta Wiriadipura, stated that Indo Livestock has evolved into a collaborative hub for all stakeholders in the livestock sector. According to him, the exhibition not only showcases the latest innovations and technologies but also serves as a space to exchange ideas to drive industry advancement.<\/h6>\n
Arya emphasized that Indo Livestock 2026 once again serves as a platform bringing together all stakeholders across the livestock and agribusiness sectors. He noted that the exhibition accommodates various subsectors, ranging from the dairy, meat, and egg industries to shrimp, all of which have long been crucial components supporting national food security.<\/h6>\n
Stepping into its new venue, Napindo is also introducing several brand-new agendas this year. “One of them is the livestock competition, which for the first time ever is being held indoors as part of the Indo Livestock series,” he said.<\/h6>\n
The Indo Livestock International Award 2026 was also presented as a token of appreciation for individuals, organizations, communities, and stakeholders recognized for their contributions to developing the livestock sector, improving public nutritional quality, and strengthening sustainable development.<\/h6>\n
The agenda proceeded with the official opening by the Director General of Livestock and Animal Health Services (Dirjen PKH) of the Ministry of Agriculture, Agung Suganda, representing the Vice Minister of Agriculture. In his keynote address, he noted that the Indonesian livestock sector is currently entering a positive growth period.<\/h6>\n
\"\"“Indonesian livestock is entering the greatest growth era in its history. Today, we are no longer talking about potential, but about realization,” he stated.<\/h6>\n
He revealed that the livestock subsector recorded a growth rate of 11.84%, which is cited as the highest achievement in the last 25 years. On the other hand, export performance for livestock products continues to trend upward, indicating growing international market confidence in Indonesian animal-derived products.<\/h6>\n
Particularly for the poultry sector, Agung assessed that the Free Nutritious Meal (Makan Bergizi Gratis<\/i> \/ MBG) program has had a positive impact on driving up demand for animal protein, especially chicken meat and eggs. This condition has helped establish market stability while opening up new investment opportunities within the national poultry industry.<\/h6>\n
Nevertheless, Agung acknowledged that challenges remain, particularly price disparities for chicken and eggs in several regions outside Java and Sumatra. To address this issue, the government continues to push for the development of integrated livestock zones to strengthen the distribution and equal supply of animal protein.<\/h6>\n
Closing his remarks, Agung commended the staging of Indo Livestock, which consistently serves as a bridge connecting investors, business players, associations, and other key stakeholders. He expressed hope that this forum would stimulate increased investment, technology adoption, and the strengthening of the national livestock industry toward the 2045 Golden Indonesia vision.<\/h6>\n
In addition to exhibitions and seminars, Indo Livestock 2026 features various supporting activities, including livestock contests, business forums, industry meetups, talk shows, and the SDTI (Susu, Daging, Telur, dan Ikan<\/i>\u2014Milk, Meat, Eggs, and Fish) promotion campaign, alongside a variety of seminars highlighting developments in Indonesia’s poultry, livestock, animal health, and agribusiness sectors.<\/h6>\n
