At the scientific forum, Asep also represented MIPI-WPSA Indonesia.<\/h6>\n<h6 data-start=\"454\" data-end=\"898\">The Kedu laying chicken is one of Indonesia\u2019s indigenous chicken genetic resources with significant potential for development as a national poultry genetic asset. The research focuses on developing breeding strategies based on molecular genetics to enhance the reproductive performance of Kedu chickens. By analyzing genetic variation, the study aims to contribute to more accurate, efficient, and sustainable selection of local chicken breeds.<\/h6>\n<h6 data-start=\"900\" data-end=\"1137\">Asep stated that participating in the World\u2019s Poultry Congress 2026 provided an important opportunity to introduce the potential of the Kedu chicken as one of Indonesia\u2019s local genetic resources to the international scientific community.<\/h6>\n<h6 data-start=\"1139\" data-end=\"1451\">\u201cWe recognize that this research is still at an early stage and requires further development. Therefore, we are very open to constructive criticism, suggestions, feedback, and future collaboration opportunities to strengthen and expand this research,\u201d he said in a written statement on Wednesday (July 15, 2026).<\/h6>\n<h6 data-start=\"1453\" data-end=\"1851\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-28056\" src=\"https:\/\/www.poultryindonesia.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/WhatsApp-Image-2026-07-15-at-10.59.25.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1280\" height=\"960\" \/>The presentation took place from July 14\u201316, 2026, as part of the WPC 2026 program, which ran from July 13\u201317. The congress is one of the most prestigious scientific forums in the poultry sector, bringing together researchers, academics, students, industry professionals, and stakeholders from around the world to share research findings, exchange knowledge, and foster international collaboration.<\/h6>\n<h6 data-start=\"1853\" data-end=\"2348\">According to Asep, UNDIP\u2019s participation in this international scientific forum reflects the university\u2019s commitment to advancing flagship research, promoting academic internationalization, and strengthening scientific contributions in the fields of animal science and agriculture.
