Penyakit yang masih terus diteliti dari awal mula kemunculan hingga penyebarannya ini telah lebih dulu menjadi ancaman di negara lain, sebelum masuk ke Indonesia.<\/h6>\n<h6>Avian Influenza terkenal dapat menyerang beberapa jenis hewan seperti unggas dan mamalia, serta berpotensi pula mengancam keselamatan manusia. Tahun 2003 merupakan titik mula merebaknya virus ini dalam jenis H5N1 di Tanah Air. Berbagai pihak ramai membincangkan tentang kejadian tersebut. Penyakit yang pada mulanya menyerang unggas ini sontak membuat resah.<\/h6>\n<h6><a href=\"https:\/\/www.poultryindonesia.com\/perkembangan-avian-influenza-di-indonesia\/\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Baca Juga : Perkembangan avian influenza di Indonesia<\/span><\/span><\/a><\/h6>\n<h6>Peternak pun dikagetkan dengan ribuan ayam yang mendadak mati. Kekhawatiran terhadap virus ini kian memuncak tatkala terdapat manusia yang ikut menjadi korban. Avian Influenza benar-benar mampu menyita perhatian publik secara cepat dan luas. Dari tahun ke tahun, segala upaya dilakukan baik oleh pemerintah maupun pihak nonpemerintah. Identifikasi demi identifikasi juga terus digiatkan.<\/h6>\n<h6>Perkembangan penyakit ini terbilang cukup cepat. Virus yang dapat menurunkan kualitas dan kuantitas produksi ternak ini bahkan terus mengalami mutasi. Baru-baru ini, industri perunggasan ramai membahas H9N2 yang diduga menjadi penyebab merosotnya produksi di kandang-kandang. Meski saat ini H5N1 dinyatakan sebagai virus <em>Low Pathogenic Avian Influenza<\/em> (LPAI) yang dianggap tidak ganas, namun, bukan berarti kewaspadaan bisa dilonggarkan begitu saja.
