Struktur ikatan kimia dan bentuk setiap toksin sangat beragam, seperti golongan <em>Aspergillus toxin: aflatoxin<\/em> B1, B2, G1, dan G2, <em>Penicillium toxin: Ochratoxin<\/em> A,<em> Fusarium toxin: Fumonisin<\/em> B1 dan B2, <em>Zearolonone, Trichothecene deoxynivalenol (vomitoxin)<\/em>, dan T-2\/HT-2 <em>toxin<\/em>.<\/h6>\n<h6><em>Mycotoxin<\/em> ini adalah dasar bagi Biochem untuk melakukan penelitian bekerja sama dengan lembaga yang diakui secara international, universitas, dan laboratorium di Amerika Serikat, Jerman, dan Belanda. Penelitian difokuskan pada penyelidikan dan mendokumentasikan sifat pengikatan <em>mycotoxin<\/em> spesifik.<\/h6>\n<h6>Klasifikasi mycotoksin binder berdasarkan jenis struktur kimia yaitu banyak lapisan silikat <em>(Phyllosilicates)<\/em>, seperti <em>bentonite, kaolinite, sepiolite,<\/em> atau<em> vermiculite<\/em>, kerangka lapisan <em>(Tectosillicates)<\/em>, seperti <em>clinoptilolite (zeolite)<\/em>, dan <em>amorf<\/em> silikat seperti <em>kieselguhr (diatomaceous earth)<\/em>. Sekilas banyak yang berasumsi bahwa tidak ada perbedaan signifikan antara bentuk struktur kimia<em> mycotoxin binder.<\/em> Namun <em>trial<\/em> secara laboratorium<em> (in vitro)<\/em> jelas menunjukkan hal yang signifikan dan perbedaan dalam mengikat <em>mycotoxin<\/em>.<\/h6>\n<h6><strong>Perbedaan kemampuan mengikat toksin<\/strong><\/h6>\n<h6>Salah satu<em> trial<\/em> dengan menggunakan <em>mycotoxin Zearolonone<\/em> dan <em>Ochratoxin A<\/em>. Dapat kita lihat hasil <em>trial<\/em> dari Grafik 1 yang menunjukkan variasi yang signifikan pada setiap <em>mycotoxin binder<\/em> (silikat) dan kombinasi<em> yeast cell wall<\/em> dalam mengikat atau mengabsorpsi toksin. Sedangkan untuk jenis <em>mycotoxin Aflatoxin B1<\/em>, hampir seluruh <em>mycotoxin binder<\/em> berhasil mengikat atau mengabsorpsi secara total (Grafik 2). Seluruh <em>mycotoxin binder<\/em> umumnya sangat baik dalam mengikat Aflatoxin B1, namun kemampuan untuk mengikat jenis toksin lainnya seperti <em>Fusarium<\/em>, <em>Zearolonone<\/em>, atau <em>Ochratoxin A<\/em> sangat bervariasi. Analisa juga meliputi beberapa faktor seperti luas permukaan, ukuran partikel, dan pori-pori partikel untuk menemukan dan menentukan Biotox\u00ae sebagai mycotoxin binder yang paling tepat dan mampu mengikat semua jenis toksin. Kapasitas untuk mengikat toksin yang tinggi dari Biotox\u00ae dibuktikan dari hasil analisa<em> in vitro<\/em> di laboratorium tersertifikasi secara internasional. Biotox\u00ae secara signifikan mampu mengikat toksin secara menyeluruh seperti <em>Zearolonone<\/em>, T-2, <em>Ochratoxin A<\/em>, dan <em>Fumonisin B1<\/em> dibandingkan dengan<em> mycotoxin binder<\/em> kompetitor lainnya. Pada hasil analisa, efisiensi Biotox\u00ae dalam mengikat <em>Fusarium toxin<\/em> T-2 sebesar 83%, sedangkan kompetitor lainnya jauh dibawah dari pencapaian angka tersebut.<\/h6>\n<h6>Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa efektivitas <em>mycotoxin binder<\/em> dalam mengikat toksin polar dan non-polar ditentukan dari dosis <em>mycotoxin binder<\/em> yang digunakan dan cemaran toksin yang ada pada bahan baku seperti jagung.
