POULTRYINDONESIA, Bogor – Indonesian Veterinary Medicine Association (IVMA) held National Work Conference 2020 at Villa Erema, Cisarua, Bogor, Thursday to Saturday (13-15/2) with theme ‘Let’s go to the Veterinarian’. This two days event is attended by IVMA representative from 47 branches and 8 Non Territorial Organization (ONT) from all over Indonesia.

Muhammad Munawaroh, DVM, MM in his welcoming speech appreciates the enthusiasm of IVMA members all over Indonesia who could attend this IVMA’s National Work Conference 2020. “The large number of participants which attend this gathering indicates the unity of Indonesian Veterinarians.” Following his speech, he formally opened this meeting which aimed to strengthen this organization financially and togetherness towards IVMA’s modernization as well as advance institution.

Dr. Rohidin Mersyah, DVM, M.MA as Bengkulu Governor in his key note speech said that veterinary profession has three significant roles in Indonesian society, such as provide animal protein source, manage zoonosis cases, and to take care of pet as well as wildlife animals. “So I think that veterinarian has important role to promote national development.”

This conference continues with presentation of IVMA’s chairman about organization activity in 2019 and work plan for 2020 which also presented by Chairman of IVMA, representative from every IVMA’s branch, and ONT. Plenary meeting and ratification of National Work Conference decree were held on the following day.
