POULTRYINDONESIA, Bandung – Efforts by PT Medion Farma Jaya to expand its global market are once again showing positive progress. The animal health company has successfully obtained a Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) certificate from the Veterinary Department of the Ministry of Agriculture, Republic of Iraq. This certification is a key requirement in the product registration process, enabling Medion’s vaccines and animal health medicines to be marketed in Iraq.
Previously, on February 16, 2026, an audit team from Iraq’s Ministry of Agriculture conducted a direct GMP inspection at PT Medion Farma Jaya’s production facilities. The visit was part of an evaluation process to ensure that the company’s production standards comply with the requirements set by the local regulator.
During the inspection, auditors assessed various critical aspects, including production facility conditions, quality management systems, and the implementation of operational procedures within the plant. Although GMP standards generally refer to international practices, each regulatory authority applies its own assessment approach. Therefore, thorough preparation and coordination are essential to ensure all technical aspects are uniformly understood and to avoid potential differences in interpretation during the evaluation process.
For Medion, the visit was not only part of regulatory procedures but also an opportunity to showcase the company’s growing capabilities to international partners. Supported by modern production facilities and consistent GMP implementation, Medion aims to strengthen market trust while opening broader opportunities for its vaccines and animal health products to enter the Middle Eastern market.
Currently, various vaccines and animal health products manufactured by Medion are used by livestock industry players in more than 20 countries across Asia and Africa.
