The company has officially obtained the Good Manufacturing Practices for Fish Medicine (CPOIB) certification for the scope of Natural Medicine, achieving a “Satisfactory” (P1 – Level One) rating.

The certification was granted by the Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries (KKP) following an audit conducted on January 20, 2026. • Implementation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

The entire assessment was conducted to ensure that the manufacturing process for natural-based fish medicine meets the standards and regulations set by the government.

Strategic Response to Market Trends

Securing the CPOIB certification is a strategic move by Medion to address the growing customer demand for natural fish remedies. The trend toward using natural products in the aquaculture sector continues to rise, driven by increased awareness of:

  1. Food Safety: Ensuring fish products are safe for human consumption.

  2. Sustainability: Promoting environmentally friendly farming practices.

  3. Antibiotic Reduction: Supporting efforts to minimize the use of antibiotics in aquaculture.

Commitment to Innovation and Regulation

The “Satisfactory” (P1 – Level One) rating serves as proof that Medion is capable of implementing a production system that is consistent, documented, and controlled according to official guidelines. Beyond being an administrative achievement, this certification reinforces Medion’s position as a company that is adaptive to industry dynamics and regulatory shifts.

Looking ahead, Medion aims to continue innovating in the development of natural fish medicine products. This step aligns with government programs to combat Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR), which remains a serious challenge in both the livestock and fisheries sectors.
