POULTRYINDONESIA, Bogor – Live bird price in farm gate price still become an unresolvable issue since November 2018. Regarding this case, the Association of National Chicken Farmer Organizations (GOPAN) and Indonesian Poultry Association (PINSAR) held a discussion at Sentul, Bogor, Tuesday (15/9). This meeting which already held for the umpteenth time caused by the falling price of live birds, so that stakeholders in the broiler industry need to find a way to stabilise live bird price.
Director of Animal husbandry and Animal Health (Dirjen PKH), Nasrullah who attend this meeting said that with so many poultry associations, hopefully, it can become an effective forum to coordinate and seek solutions to problems that occur in the poultry industry.
“On the production side, I see that the more critical part is in the downstream. If the downstream issue controlled properly, I believe that the poultry industry will run smoothly in the future,” He said.

There are several agreements made on this meeting, which are for the long term and short term. In the short term, the stakeholders agree that there will be an increase in the price of live chickens, especially in the Greater Jakarta Area, Banten, West Java, Central Java, and East Java. This will continue to be monitored and will continue to be evaluated together.
In addition, increasing the number of companies who carry out on-off in sales needed in order to alleviate the oversupply problem in the poultry industry.
