POULTRYINDONESIA, Jakarta – National Poultry Conference which is held at Hotel Aston Priority, TB Simatupang, Jakarta Selatan, Wednesday (12/2), was the second meeting after the latest one on 22^nd January 2020 at Santika Hotel, East Jakarta. This meeting attended by Ir. Sugiono, MP as Director of Directorate of Animal Breeding and Production, Ministry of Agriculture, chairman from poultry companies, independent poultry farmers, and poultry association, such as PINSAR, GOPAN, PPUN, and GPPU.

Sugeng Wahyudi, as a farmer’s representative as well as chairman of the organizing committee explained that this meeting aimed to maintain live bird price that is getting better than before, he hopes that there will be a long term plan to stabilize broiler price.

“After the first conference, indeed there is an improvement in broiler price hopefully until next week. Moreover, the live bird price reached Rp18.000-18.500/kg until today. However, independent poultry farmers are not yet fully get the profit. Therefore, we think that it is necessary to arrange this second meeting,” Said Sugeng, Independent poultry farmer originally from Bogor.

This meeting generates agreement among participants about the farm gate price reference started from Thursday, 13^th February 2020 until Sunday, 16^th February 2020 with the price range start from Rp19.000-20.500 on East, Central, and West Java. This consent will be evaluated on Monday, 17^th February 2020. All parties agree to strengthen this togetherness so that the live bird price will still exceed the production cost. Chusnul
