POULTRYINDONESIA, Sukabumi – Argo Manunggal Group, through its subsidiary PT Peternakan Ayam Manggis, officially inaugurated the Benda Hatchery Unit in Sukabumi on Wednesday (3/9). The facility was developed as part of the company’s efforts to increase its day-old chick (DOC) production capacity, in line with the growth of its breeding business and market demand.

GM of Breeding Production at Argo Manunggal Group, Cahyadi, explained that the development of Benda Hatchery is aimed at strengthening the company’s ability to provide DOC more consistently, both in terms of capacity and quality.

“In addition to increasing capacity, the construction of this hatchery is also part of our efforts to improve operational standards, biosecurity, efficiency, and reliability in the DOC production process. With a more modern and integrated facility, we hope to support the sustainable growth of Argo Manunggal Group’s business,” he said.

From a production facility perspective, Hatchery Manager of Argo Manunggal Group, Mulia Kusumah, stated that Benda Hatchery is equipped with 12 machines consisting of Setters and Hatchers.

“The use of this technology is intended to support a more controlled, consistent, and efficient incubation process. In addition to machine technology, we also place great emphasis on biosecurity, environmental control, process standardization, and operational control to maintain the quality and consistency of the DOC produced,” Mulia explained.

Meanwhile, Director of Operations, Sales & Marketing at Argo Manunggal Group, Andreas Nugroho Indrastoto, said that Benda Hatchery was developed to strengthen the company’s ability to meet DOC demand, both to support its existing business and future market growth. According to him, the additional capacity provides the company with greater flexibility in consistently meeting the needs of customers and business partners.

“From a marketing perspective, we will continue to monitor demand developments and market potential gradually. Our focus is not only on increasing volume, but also on ensuring that the DOC we supply maintains consistent quality and delivers value to both customers and business partners,” he said.

For poultry farmers and business partners, Andreas hopes the additional capacity will strengthen DOC supply, making it more consistent and reliable. With greater capacity, the company will also be better positioned to respond to market needs and dynamics.

“For Argo Manunggal Group, the operation of Benda Hatchery will further strengthen our position in building an integrated poultry business. We want to ensure that this increase in capacity goes hand in hand with improvements in product quality, customer service, operational efficiency, and the company’s ability to achieve sustainable growth,” he added.

On the same occasion, Argo Manunggal Group’s Business Development representative, Bastian Prayogo, explained that following the inauguration, the company’s focus will be on ensuring that Benda Hatchery operates optimally and reaches its planned capacity. This additional capacity will serve as one of the foundations for supporting the growth of the breeding and DOC businesses, as well as the further development of Argo Manunggal Group’s integrated poultry business.

“Going forward, we will continue to evaluate market needs and business development opportunities throughout the poultry value chain. The development of Benda Hatchery is part of a broader roadmap to build a business that is increasingly integrated, efficient, supported by strong operational standards, and capable of sustainable growth,” he explained.
