POULTRYINDONESIA, BANYUMAS – The Alumni Association of the Faculty of Animal Science at Jenderal Soedirman University (KAFAPET UNSOED) has once again entrusted Teguh Sudaryatno to serve as its Chairman through the 6th National Conference (Munas VI), held in Purwokerto, Banyumas Regency, Central Java, on Saturday (5/9/2026).
Farid Dimyati, Secretary of the Organizing Committee for the 6th National Conference of KAFAPET UNSOED, said the election of the chairman proceeded smoothly and was conducted through consensus after three candidates met the requirements set out in the conference regulations.
“Alhamdulillah, the national conference went smoothly. Based on the submitted data, there were actually five prospective candidates for chairman, but two of them were not physically present at the conference venue. Therefore, as required under the election regulations, they were declared ineligible,” he said.
As a result, he explained, three candidates met the requirements and subsequently took part in the deliberation process to determine the next leader of KAFAPET UNSOED.
The three candidates were Teguh Sudaryatno, A Bagus Pekik, and Aries Teguh Wibowo. Meanwhile, two prospective candidates, Anwarudin and Rohmat Susilowarno, were unable to proceed with their candidacies because they were not physically present.
Farid said that following deliberations among the three candidates, they agreed that Teguh Sudaryatno would once again lead the organization. The national conference subsequently appointed and ratified Teguh as Chairman of KAFAPET UNSOED for the 2026–2030 term.
As previously reported, Teguh Sudaryatno was inaugurated as Chairman of KAFAPET UNSOED on February 24, 2025, replacing Bambang Rijanto Japutra, Chairman of KAFAPET UNSOED for the 2021–2026 term, who resigned after being elected as Vice Chairman IV of the Jenderal Soedirman University Alumni Association (KAUNSOED).
Farid expressed hope that Teguh Sudaryatno’s re-election would further improve KAFAPET UNSOED and strengthen the organization’s role in building alumni networks and contributing to its alma mater.
Meanwhile, Teguh Sudaryatno said one of the priorities of his administration would be improving and strengthening the alumni database of the Faculty of Animal Science at UNSOED.
“The first thing is probably the alumni database. So far, the database has not been properly organized, so we want to know where our alumni are located. Then, upon graduation, we can immediately register them for alumni membership cards,” he said.
In addition to improving the database, he said KAFAPET UNSOED would strengthen coordination with alumni in various regions.
According to him, this is important considering the organization’s extensive geographical coverage, which requires considerable time, effort, and financial resources for coordination.
“We will also improve coordination with regional chapters because our coverage is vast and extensive. It requires time, effort, and, of course, funding to coordinate with the regions,” he said.
He also emphasized the importance of strengthening the relationship between KAFAPET and the Faculty of Animal Science at UNSOED through various activities involving both alumni and students.
According to him, these activities could include seminars and orientation programs for new students as well as preparatory programs for students approaching graduation.
“We need to strengthen our relationship with the faculty through activities involving both alumni and the faculty, such as organizing seminars and providing orientation for new students or preparation programs for students who are about to graduate,” he said.
