POULTRYINDONESIA, Jakarta – The LPER Cooperative for People’s Economic Empowerment (Koperasi Produsen Usaha Lembaga Pemberdayaan Ekonomi Rakyat, or LPER) participated in the Feed Corn Partnership Coordination Meeting organized by the Ministry of Agriculture on Tuesday (October 27, 2026), at the Auditorium of Building F, Ministry of Agriculture headquarters in Jakarta.
At the event, the LPER Cooperative was one of the cooperatives representing West Java to sign a partnership agreement between poultry farmers and corn growers. The agreement was signed by LPER Cooperative Chairman H. Mulyadi Atma and witnessed by Minister of Agriculture Andi Amran Sulaiman and Ministry of Agriculture officials. The partnership is expected to strengthen ties between the agricultural and livestock sectors, with support from Perum Bulog in absorbing harvested corn.
The LPER Cooperative also brought several members, including poultry farmers and corn growers from various regions, such as Bogor, Sukabumi, the Special Region of Yogyakarta (DIY), and East Java. The participation of members from these regions reflects the cooperative’s efforts to expand its partnership network while strengthening collaboration among businesses in the food sector.
Under this partnership scheme, the LPER Cooperative serves as a platform for poultry farmers, while the farming group is represented by the Tunas Tani LPER Farmers Group, which is part of the cooperative. The group is led by Subowo, who comes from Sukabumi, West Java. Meanwhile, Perum Bulog is expected to support the absorption of harvested corn through a well-planned and sustainable partnership mechanism.

This collaboration is expected to create a mutually beneficial supply chain for both corn growers and poultry farmers. For corn growers, the partnership offers access to a clearer market and greater certainty regarding the absorption of their harvests. Meanwhile, poultry farmers are expected to gain access to a more stable and sustainable supply of feed raw materials. As a result, agricultural production can become more closely aligned with the needs of Indonesia’s livestock industry.
The partnership is in line with the Ministry of Agriculture’s efforts to strengthen corn availability for animal feed through collaboration among farmers, livestock producers, and stakeholders across the food sector. On the occasion, Minister of Agriculture Andi Amran Sulaiman announced government support in the form of a Rp300 billion budget allocation for corn seed procurement. The funding is intended to boost national corn production while strengthening the livestock sector from upstream to downstream.
In addition, the government is encouraging the expansion of corn-growing areas and strengthening harvest absorption mechanisms through the involvement of Perum Bulog and livestock producer groups. Under this scheme, Bulog is expected to help provide market certainty for growers while maintaining corn availability as a raw material for animal feed. These efforts are expected to balance the interests of farmers as corn producers and livestock producers as feed raw material users.
For the LPER Cooperative, participation in this initiative represents a step toward expanding partnerships and strengthening the cooperative’s role as a link between agriculture, livestock production, and national food institutions. Through the involvement of the Tunas Tani LPER Farmers Group and cooperation with Perum Bulog, the cooperative aims to promote a more efficient supply chain, increase the economic value of agricultural products, and support the sustainability of smallholder livestock businesses.
Through sustainable partnerships, the LPER Cooperative hopes to contribute to feed self-sufficiency, improve the welfare of farmers and livestock producers, and strengthen national food security.
