POULTRYINDONESIA, Jakarta – The series of activities under the Charoen Pokphand Best Student Appreciation (CPBSA) Batch 7 program continues. On Monday (July 20), the awardees participated in a Project Discussion, a forum designed to evaluate the progress of the projects they are undertaking during their internships across various business units of PT Charoen Pokphand Indonesia Tbk. The activity represents a key stage in the CPBSA program, ensuring that each project remains on track while providing an opportunity for discussion between participants, mentors, and reviewers.

The CPBSA program brings together outstanding students from leading universities across Indonesia who have successfully passed a competitive selection process. Since early July, the awardees have been assigned to various Charoen Pokphand Indonesia facilities and business units, including feed mills, breeding operations, farms, food processing plants, nutrition divisions, and other business segments. During the internship period, each participant is tasked with completing a project focused on solving real-world challenges or developing innovations within their respective work units.

During the discussion session, participants presented the progress of their projects, achievements to date, challenges encountered in the field, and their plans for completing the projects. One awardee undertaking an internship in South Sulawesi shared progress on a study examining the factors influencing layer farmers’ decisions to use probiotic complete feed. By the third week of the internship, respondent data collection was already underway, supported by the Marketing and Technical Service (TS) teams, which assisted with field activities and mentoring.

Meanwhile, another awardee placed at the CP Food Division in Salatiga presented preliminary findings from a project evaluating the potential quality loss caused by dwelling time during sausage production. The study investigates the impact of waiting time on product quality through temperature measurements, moisture content analysis, pH testing, and sensory evaluations as part of the production process assessment.

Throughout the session, mentors and reviewers provided constructive feedback aimed at strengthening the research methodologies, covering aspects such as data analysis techniques, statistical validation, and the development of recommendations that could be implemented by the company. Participants were also encouraged not only to produce academic conclusions but to translate their findings into practical strategies and recommendations that add value to the business units where they are conducting their internships.

Through the CPBSA program, PT Charoen Pokphand Indonesia once again demonstrates its commitment to developing young talent through hands-on learning experiences in the industrial sector. Intensive mentoring from experienced professionals is expected to equip awardees with stronger analytical skills, problem-solving capabilities, professional communication skills, and a deeper understanding of the operations of the integrated livestock and food industries.

The Project Discussion serves as an important milestone before participants complete their internship projects and present their final results as part of the CPBSA Batch 7 program.
